Prosecco DOC Neirano
Casalotto, Bazzana, Garlobbia: these three villages of the municipality of Mombaruzzo are mentioned for their excellent wines in documents dating back to 1014 of the city of Casalotto di Mombaruzzo. Around the vineyards composed by Brachetto, Barbera, Cabernet and Chardonnay, the winery Neirano, which mixes tradition with a perfect and modern technology, was founded in 1983. Major renovation work was needed to transform the original villa the current property. Paolo and Antonio, descendants of a winemaking family of three generations, boast quality production of excellent sparkling wine. Francesca and Andrea now represent the fourth generation of the family in the business. The pride of the production is the Neirano Neirano Brut, a sparkling wine produced by the champagne method. This is accompanied by an equally large range of other wines, mainly DOC and DOCG. Among white classic Piedmont we find Gavi and Cortese upper Monferrato, and a soft and delicate Moscato d’Asti dessert wine of insurmountable quality. The reds include Barolo, Barbera d’Asti, Barbera d’Asti Superiore and Montepulciano. Other white wines are Pinot Grigio, a noble product of the hills of Lombardy, and the famous Prosecco sparkling wine. The best red wines are aged in small barrels of 225 liters, located in appropriate underground cellars at controlled temperature. At the same location, the riddling operations for sparkling wines are made by hand on wooden desks. The fully automated bottling plant represents the final stage of production where the wine gets its elegant presentation.
