Alain Jaume – Côtes Du Rhone – Vieilles Vignes
In the fourteenth century, during their stay in Avignon, the Popes had built the papal castle in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Seduced by the exceptional terroir, they developed the vineyard. Rooted north of Châteauneuf du Pape, the Jaume family perpetuates the winemaker since 1826. This business is a legacy but also a passion. It imposes both rigor and perseverance meet the demands of nature. Artisans at the service of the great terroirs of the Southern Rhône Valley, we aim to develop intense wines, wines of character, wines with authentic tastes. Our labels are stamped “Alain Jaume & Fils” with humility but pride, to assure you of our commitment to each moment to satisfy you. By conviction, our farming methods are intended friendly soil and live. No one can develop great wines without cultivating the vines to allow it to produce healthy grapes, ripe and balanced. The faculty of aging a wine distinguishes “fashion wines” and those that can be described as “future wines.” Can we be satisfied with a wine raised to the rank of Cru and who did not know through the years? a wine that would prematurely evolved after only 3 or 4 years? Our soils allow us to develop intense and balanced wines with excellent aging ability. A wine must be good at a young age, certainly, but its true greatness judge that over time.
